Imam Madrassah is proud to announce that they successfully held their 2nd Family Funday on Saturday 4th August 2018. The event was attended by over 1200 people from all across Burnley, Nelson and surrounding areas.
With a wide variety of stalls, from food through to clothing and home decor, there was something to please everyone. Activities were also made available for children such as face painting, henna painting, tombola as well as the super popular photo booth and fun props!
A great thank you to all the volunteers who supported the event. The freshly baked Pizzas, Burgers, and cakes are always popular and sold out again within hours!
The event proved to be a success in more ways than one. We had numerous attendees from within the local community, Muslim and non-Muslim, enquiring about our organisation. It was a great opportunity for community integration; inter-faith as well as intra-faith. Several Muslims belonging to other schools of thought approached us to discuss misconceptions, breaking down barriers and pursuing opportunities to embrace our commonalities; the basic fundamentals that make us Muslim.
